Beyond Prison hosts round table event – 12 June
Our Beyond Prison service, which supports offenders with mental health needs, is hosting a round table discussion event on Tuesday 12th June at 9:30am-2:00pm at Southwark Cathedral, London Bridge, SE1 9DA. Flyer here.
This will be a cooperative event bringing together experts-by-experience from the voluntary and public sector, to inspire service development in four progress focused round table discussions:
- Mental Health and Learning Disabilities in the Criminal Justice System
- Resettlement and Life Beyond Prison
- Young People & Early Interventions
- Peer Mentoring and Befriending Support
Each round table meeting will create a forum for discussing underlying issues, gaps in service provision, service user experience, opportunities for partnership working, and sharing best practise ideas. Key points and recommendations will be captured and circulated in a summary report.
We would very much like you to attend (or nominate a colleague) to ensure that your organisation and borough are represented on the day. In order to create a productive environment, places will be restricted and allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
This is a free event and lunch will be provided.
