DLA Mobility: sorting the facts from the fiction

The Government says it is committed to social justice for disabled people, and in particular the focus on personalisation and increasing independence for disabled people.  However, the removal of the mobility component of the Disability Living Allowance [DLA], soon to become the Personal Independence Payment [PIP] from people living in residential care, will directly undermine this commitment.  Campaigners have produced the DLA mobility report which was launched on 9 March.  A total of 39 charities and organisations, and ADASS have endorsed the report.  The report is being sent to key Ministers and MPs.
