Sam is a young man, with a great sense of humour and a lively and energetic personality. He has spent the last few years living in a restricted environment, which has meant he has had very little chance to get out and do the things he enjoys, like horse-riding, climbing and going on steam trains.
We are looking for a full time Deputy Manager who has the ability to co-manage a team of support workers to support Sam to choose and experience the life that he wants to lead.
This is a life changing opportunity for Sam and a great chance for you to be the person that helps him to re-connect with people he loves and the things he loves doing. In addition you will help him to discover new activities and learn new skills as he begins to experience life as an independent adult, in his own home, with 24hr support.
Provisionally, you will be based in West/North West London - possibly in the Hillingdon, Harrow or West Ealing area but this may be subject to change. While we are recruiting people to work with Sam, you may be asked to support other people with learning disabilities in other services. Further details will be provided at interview.
