Sam Support worker

Hi my name is Sam. I am a young man aspiring to lead a full life as I have spent the last few years living in a restricted environment. However, I now believe it's time for me to spread my wings and try to lead an independent life as much as I can. I now have my own home but I need a Dream Team of enthusiastic and energetic people to support me to live my life to the max. I have a great sense of humour with a lively and energetic personality. Like every other young person, I also want to go out and do things I enjoy. I have many hobbies which I wish to explore with your support; these include horse-riding, climbing, and going for long walks.

Currently I have a home, the personality, right attitude and rearing to start a new life! However, before I can move and start this new adventure, I need a team of Support Workers on a 24 hour shift to help support me working days and/or waking nights.

This is an exciting and rewarding challenge for you to support me with my complex needs, autism and challenging behaviour. You will have the right skills, values and resilience to ensure that everyone works together to help me so I can live the life that I am entitled to, just like any other young man. You and the team will have to work closely and meaningfully with me and my family as they play an integral part of this new venture. So it’s really important as the support worker of my dream team that you are able to build and maintain a trusted and reliable relationship with both my family and I.

If you think you have the ability and skills to better my life then please in touch as I am so excited to start this new venture, where I can live my life like everyone else - to the max!

This is a Waking Night position, but that doesn't mean I'll be sleeping the whole time.

If you are interested in enriching the lives of the people we support, please take a look at the job description and person specification for further information and apply now!
