The My Time service supports young adults with learning disabilities for activity and community based shortbreak support. People purchase support using individual budgets, at the time of their choosing, doing what they would like to do and are matched with staff that they would wish to support them to achieve their wishes. Currently My Time offers 1:1 support to people who do a range of individualised activity such as companion cycling, day trips, community and social inclusion, cookery and location based activity. My Time is both flexible and personalised to the individual.
Quote from carer TW: “I love the My Time service as it enables me to be able to have a life of my own and go away for the weekend when our daughter attends the My Time service and other respite overnight options. I can go away safe in the knowledge that my daughter is with the staff that she wants to work with her and doing something worthwhile! She can’t wait to get to My Time and this is a big part of her life. She has real relationships with the people who support her.”
